I didn’t have anything to do until late in the day today, so I decided to take my time getting ready. Still, I wanted to keep my look simple. Here’s the skincare and makeup I chose this morning as an alternative to my usually rushed routine.
First, a photo of the finished look…
And now, how to do it!
The first thing I did was wash my face. I just rinsed with water, then I used St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Cleanser on my chin to try and repair my existing spots and prevent new ones.
I took a cold, wet washcloth and pressed it against my face for a minute or two, which really woke me up. It also made my skin look so refreshed!
I forgot to take a photo after I’d only put on moisturizer, but here’s one with just moisturizer and eyeshadow. For my moisturizer I chose The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream with a drop of rosehip oil. The oil takes a while to absorb, which is why I can’t use it most mornings! On my eyes I used Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original and my Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette. From the Revealed 2 palette, I chose a medium purple shimmer shade for the lid and the matte brown for the crease.
On my cheeks I used my brand new Josie Maran Argan Infinity Lip and Cheek Creamy Oil in Timeless Coral. You only need a smidgen, because a little goes a long way. However, this leaves my cheeks slightly tacky (because it takes forever to dry), so I dusted e.l.f. Mineral Booster in Shimmer over it to help set it.
I finished off with Wet n Wild lipstick in Blushing Bali, which is a great coral color, to echo my cheeks.
And, voilà! The perfect casual look. Here’s how it looked once I actually did my hair and got dressed:
My perfume for the day is Harvey Prince Hello, because it’s the cheeriest scent I own and I’m in a good mood!
